Did you know that sharks have been around for over 450 million years? They're usually at the top of the food chain and are a sign of a healthy marine ecosystem. We're seeing a steep decline worldwide in shark numbers due to unsustainable fishing practices, shark finning, overfishing, pollution and habitat destruction. Our work here at the Marine Conservation Society aims to make the ocean a cleaner, better protected and healthier spaces for all species to thrive in.<\/p>
Susie Rodgers MBE is a former Paralympic swimmer, who competed internationally for 6 years and won 30 international medals including Paralympic Gold and 5 Bronze medals at the Rio 2016 and London 2012 Paralympic Games. Susie is also an Ocean Ambassador for us at the Marine Conservation Society and has combined her passion for painting and for the sea with this shark artwork available to buy as a postcard.
